Welcome to Belgium!

Belgium is a small but very interesting country in Northwestern Europe. It sits in a cozy area called the Low Countries and is surrounded by friends like the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and the North Sea. Even though it is tiny, Belgium is packed with people, making it one of the busiest places in the world.

The capital city is Brussels, which is also the biggest city. Brussels is very important in Europe because it is home to big groups like the European Union, the European Commission, and the European Parliament. Think of it as the heart of Europe!

Belgium has three main parts: the Flemish Region in the north, the Walloon Region in the south, and the Brussels-Capital Region in the middle. People in Flanders speak Dutch, while people in Wallonia and Brussels mostly speak French. This makes Belgium a place where many languages and cultures come together.
