King Charles III
King Charles III is the ruler of the United Kingdom and 14 other countries called Commonwealth realms. He was born on November 14, 1948, at Buckingham Palace in London. His parents were Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
When Charles was very young, his mother became queen, and he knew he would one day be king. He went to school and later studied at the University of Cambridge. Charles also learned to fly planes and served in the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.
In 1981, Charles married Lady Diana Spencer, and they had two sons, William and Harry. After they divorced, Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005.
Charles became king when his mother passed away in 2022. An important event was his coronation in 2023. As king, Charles works on many projects to help people. He cares about protecting historic buildings, supporting organic farming, and taking action on climate change.
Charles enjoys many things, like drawing, painting, and playing sports. He also writes books about topics he cares about. People know Charles for his kind heart and his work to help others.
