About the Faisal Mosque
The Faisal Mosque is the most important mosque in Pakistan. It is in the city of Islamabad, which is the capital of Pakistan. The mosque is very big and is one of the largest in the whole world.
A Special Design
The mosque was designed by an architect from Turkey named Vedat Dalokay. Instead of looking like old mosques with domes, it looks like a tall tent. It has four very tall towers called minarets, which make it look special and different.
A Beautiful Place
The Faisal Mosque sits at the foot of the Margalla Hills, with green mountains all around. It is a famous place for visitors and people who live nearby. The mosque is made of bright white stone, which makes it stand out against the green hills. It is close to other important places like the Pakistan Monument and near the tall Himalayas mountains.
The mosque is remembered because it was named after King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, who helped pay for it. Today, it is a beautiful and important landmark in Islamabad.
