Gelderland

Gelderland is a big area in the east part of the Netherlands. It is the largest of all the areas in the country. It touches many places, like Flevoland, Limburg, North Brabant, Overijssel, South Holland, Utrecht, and even a part of Germany called North Rhine-Westphalia.

The main city of Gelderland is Arnhem. But other big cities are Nijmegen and Apeldoorn. There are many smaller towns too, like Ede, Doetinchem, and Wageningen. These places are all special and full of history.

Gelderland has beautiful nature. It has the biggest forest in the Netherlands, called the Veluwe. There are also important rivers like the Rhine. In the south, there are many orchards full of fruit trees. This makes Gelderland a lovely place to visit and explore.

People in Gelderland love to ride bikes. There are many paths for cycling through forests, towns, and along rivers. You can enjoy the fresh air and see many interesting sights while riding.
