Adapted from Wikipedia · Explorer experience
Kachin State is a beautiful place in the far north of Myanmar. It is very close to China and touches India too. The land is full of tall mountains and green forests.
One special mountain in Kachin State is Hkakabo Razi. It is the tallest mountain in all of Myanmar. The area also has a big, peaceful lake called Indawgyi Lake. There are three national parks here, making it a great home for many animals.
People in Kachin State have lived there for a very long time. Many different groups call this place home, like the Kachin people and the Shan people. They enjoy farming, and the land grows rice and other crops. The state also has valuable minerals, such as jade, which people use to make beautiful things.
Kachin State has some airports, like Myitkyina Airport, and a train line that connects it to other parts of Myanmar. Even though life can be hard in some places, the people work together to take care of their homes and families.
