Minas Gerais

Minas Gerais is a big state in Brazil. It is the fourth largest by size and has many people living there. You can find it in the southeast part of the country. It touches several other states, like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The capital city is Belo Horizonte. It is a busy city where people work and do business. Minas Gerais has rough land with high mountains and beautiful rivers, such as the São Francisco. The weather is warm, but cooler in the south.

Long ago, people discovered gold here, which made the state very important. Today, Minas Gerais is known for its farms, factories, and beautiful places to visit. Cities like Ouro Preto and Diamantina have old buildings and art that many tourists enjoy.

The people of Minas Gerais, called Mineiros, have a special way of speaking and love their traditions. They enjoy tasty foods like pão de queijo, which are little cheese rolls made from cassava flour. The state also has many farms where they grow coffee, milk, and other important foods.

Minas Gerais is a place full of history, nature, and friendly people. Whether you are interested in old towns, mountains, or delicious food, there is something for everyone to explore and enjoy.
