The Nashville Predators are a fun ice hockey team from Nashville, Tennessee. They play in the big National Hockey League, which is called the NHL. The Predators have been playing since 1998 and love to play at Bridgestone Arena.

Nashville got its team in 1997 when a man named Craig Leipold asked the NHL for a new team. Fans in Nashville were very excited! The team started playing in the 1998–99 season and quickly became a favorite in the city.

One fun tradition for Predators fans is throwing a catfish onto the ice to cheer for the team. This started in 2003 and even country singer Keith Urban joined in the fun in 2017!

The team has had many great players over the years. Some famous ones are Shea Weber, Roman Josi, and Pekka Rinne. These players helped the team reach big games, like the Stanley Cup Final in 2017.

Today, the Predators are one of two sports teams that have always stayed in Nashville. They make lots of fans happy with their exciting games and fun traditions!
