The Tall Building in Chicago

The Willis Tower is a very tall building in Chicago, Illinois. It has 110 stories and is 1,451 feet high! When it opened in 1973, it was the tallest building in the world for almost 25 years. Today, it is one of the tallest buildings in the Western Hemisphere.

Every year, over 1.7 million people visit the Skydeck, which is the highest observation deck in the United States. From there, you can see a lot of Chicago and the areas around it. Because it is so tall, the tower can be seen from far away. It has been in many movies and TV shows set in Chicago.

The building was designed by architect Bruce Graham and engineer Fazlur_Rahman_Khan of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It looks like nine squares grouped together. The outside of the building is made of shiny aluminum and dark glass.

Today, the Willis Tower is a popular place to visit. People come from all over to see how tall and amazing it is!
