Water polo

Italy took part in both the men's and women's water polo events at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The men's team ended up in 9th place, and the women's team finished in 6th place.

The Italian men's water polo team had a head coach named Paolo Malara. They played several matches in their group stage and later took part in classification games to decide their final standing.
