The 2028 Summer Olympics will be a big sports event in the United States. It will happen from July 14 to July 30, 2028. The main city for the Olympics will be Los Angeles. Some events will also be in other places near Los Angeles and in Oklahoma City.
Los Angeles was chosen to host the 2028 Olympics after Paris was chosen for the 2024 Olympics. This will be the fifth time the United States has hosted the Summer Olympics and the third time for Los Angeles. Only London and Paris have hosted the Summer Olympics three times before.
The 2028 Olympics will include some new sports. Skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing will be official parts of the Olympics. Other new sports might include flag football and squash. Sports like baseball/softball, cricket, and lacrosse will also return.
Planning for the Olympics
