Chad Trujillo
Chad Trujillo is an American astronomer. He loves looking at objects far from the Sun. He uses computers to study these special places in space.
In 2003, Trujillo worked with Michael Brown and David Rabinowitz. Together, they found a very big object called Eris. Eris is even bigger than Pluto! This helped scientists learn more about objects in our Solar System.
Trujillo studied physics and later became an astronomer. He enjoys studying the Kuiper belt, a place full of small icy objects far from the Sun. He has discovered many small planets and helped find some of the biggest objects in space.
Trujillo was born on November 22, 1973. He grew up in Oak Park, Illinois and studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Hawaiʻi. Today, he teaches and works at the Northern Arizona University.
One of his biggest discoveries is Eris, which is the biggest known dwarf planet. He also helped find other interesting objects like Quaoar, Sedna, and Orcus. All these objects are far from the Sun and help us understand more about space.
