Foreign relations of Luxembourg

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has always wanted closer ties between European countries. In 1921, Luxembourg and Belgium made the Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union (BLEU). This let them share the same money and trade rules.

After World War II, Luxembourg helped start important groups like the United Nations and NATO. It showed Luxembourg wanted to work with other nations for peace.
