The National Football Conference

The National Football Conference, or NFC, is one of the two big groups in the National Football League (NFL). The NFL is the top American football league in the United States. The NFC has 16 teams, just like its partner group, the American Football Conference (AFC).

These two groups started in 1970 when the NFL joined with another league called the American Football League (AFL). The NFC has teams from many places in the United States. The teams are split into four groups, called divisions: East, North, South, and West.

Each team in the NFC plays 17 games during the regular season. At the end of the season, the best teams play in the playoffs. The winner of the NFC playoffs gets to play the winner of the AFC playoffs in the big game called the Super Bowl. The Seattle Seahawks were the most recent NFC champions.

People love to watch NFC games on TV. Different channels show the games, and they change over time. The NFC is a big part of American football and lots of fans cheer for their favorite teams every year.
